Retail Marketing
I visited the Rudsak store today and observed their store layout. I wanted to see how a relatively smaller retail space can be optimized given that the Rudsak's store size was smaller when ccompared to other retailers such as H&M and Zara. I observed the rule of 3 in action with this display and definitely found it compelling as it resonated with the course reading on visual merchandising. It definitely draws my eye towards the leather jacket in the middle. I also see that the mannequin in the middle is slightly taller than the other two beside it, consistent with what I learned from the reading.

I noticed that the store utilized a lot of wall space and shelf space to maximize display of their merchandise - especially their accessories. I also saw "group like with like" in action as well. The sale items can be found at the very back wall of the store which I think is done on purpose as they likely want to draw customer's attention to the current season merchandise first. Overall, I think the Rudsak store utilized their compact space quite efficiently and maintained a nice flow to the store.
